Many residents have fond memories of the village pond, often referred to as Baccas pond. Numerous factors have culminated in the water level diminishing to the current level.
Harlington Parish Council (HPC) have sought professional advice on how to implement an improvement and maintenance programme that will deliver an area that will bring pleasure to all.
Two reports are available, one shows the ecological survey and the other is a report from the County Wildlife Trust which has been adopted as the best strategy going forward. Nature can be fickle so each step of improvement will be assessed and then shape the next step towards the sustainable goal.
Initial work will commence in January 2022 and be carried out by the Beds Conservation Volunteers.
