Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire will once again be hosting the Friday 6th October 2023 at The Rufus Centre, Steppingley Road, Flitwick The focus for the day is to celebrate older people and the contribution they make to society, with this year’s theme being, ‘Resilience of an Older Person in a Changing World’. We will be joined by representatives from many statutory and voluntary organisations, and local groups who offer advice and information about local services for older people, such as social care, health, housing, leisure activities, holistic services and much more. We will also offer entertainment throughout the day such as musical interludes and other activities. There will also be the opportunity to purchase locally made goods and to support the Macmillan Cake Stall. The Festival for Older People is a very popular annual event, and it is open to all.
