Residents will notice that the rope lights have been positioned on streetlamps extending out from the crossroads, shortly the lights will be placed on the Parish Hall and the new live (bare rooted) Festive tree. Having a live tree allows us to work within our ecological guidelines. The lights will be on before the start of December. Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with this (and the Remembrance Day preparations). Although the tree being initialled needs to be small in stature to increase its survival chances, it will grow up to 2 feet per year. We are working towards a greener village. The cost of installing and removing the lights is £990. Harlington is a beautiful village that I am sure you are proud to be part of.
