Harlington Parish Council have been informed that conservation work on the chalk stream and pond at Dyers Hall Farm will take place during February/March.
Conservation work is essential as the are only about 200 chalk streams in the world so they are incredibly rare and it is important we preserve them.
The contractors are specialists in conservation work and will do a footpath diversion around the space while they are working.
The scheme is being supported by the Chilterns National landscape, along with the drainage board who have signed off on the works.
The works will remove a large number of willows that surround the pond to allow light into the pond (a felling license for this work has been granted), the brash that is smothering the stream and repair the dam that allows the pond to flow into the stream.
