Public art is an important part of new developments; it’s a way of encapsulating something of the unique character of a place and to this end, the artist Tony Stallard, has been appointed to implement this part of the development by Crest Nicholson, Castlefield Park. He is supported by Half Moon Creative Arts CIC.
Tony Stallard is an artist of international reputation; he has been selected because of the quality of his work, and his ability to develop conversations within a community to create site-specific artworks that reflect the culture of the place in many UK villages.
The process of making public art involves meeting the community in a variety of ways, and having conversations about the place. As a starting point, Tony will be working with the pupils at Harlington Lower and Upper Schools.
There will be updates on the Harlington Facebook Page and by direct email, if you would like to be a part of this project please do get in touch, the email address to use: halfmooncreativearts@gmail.com
