Council supply of emergency dog waste bags

At the full council meeting on Monday 12th April the distribution of free emergency dog waste bags was discussed. Over the years the cost of providing this service has risen to a point where the expense reached in excess of £500.

The bag use was becoming less of an emergency supply and evolved to a free supply service. The council understand that it is inappropriate to subsidise dog owners and an unfair cost to other residents. All dog owners have a legal duty to clean up their animals faeces immediately after it fouls. HPC hopes that responsible owners will adhere to the letter and spirit of the law. The resolution was that Harlington Parish Council will cease to provide free Dog Waste Bags.
