Force Focus – Covid-19 Related Scams and Fraud
Criminals have used the Coronavirus pandemic as an opportunity to prey on people’s anxiety and worries. This month alone Action Fraud have reported a rise of 400% of fraud related activity to COVID-19.
Additionally the increased social isolation has put our communities in a situation which they have never faced before. With a large number of workers working from home and people self-isolating.
This means that we spent more time online than ever.
As a result we would like to make sure our residents are aware of the dangers they can be facing and how to avoid falling a victim of a scam.
