I know there has been some excitement about the Government’s announcement that outdoor play areas can be reopened. However, the guidance comes with a long list of safety measures that the owner/manager of the play area must be able to meet. In Harlington’s case, that’s the Parish Council.
At the moment, the play equipment cannot be used as the measures needed by government cannot me met.
As the guidelines are amended and when the Parish Council is confident that it can comply with the law the Play Area will open. The Parish Council will constantly appraise the situation and consider whether they can safely reopen the play area, which it will do as soon as possible.
CBC originally announced it would be opening play areas but has had to postpone this until they are in possession of the same information required by HPC
HPC will consider government guidance, the view of their insurer, and a full risk assessment.
HPC is very aware how desperately young families have been looking forward to using this facility again. We will do everything we can to make that possible while keeping residents of safe.
Thank you for being patient.
