Afternoon All,
This morning I have received the following update regarding the station footbridge.
As you are aware construction started May 2025 and is planned to be finished in May 2026. The work to rebuild platforms 2 & 3 are now completed and Network Rail are now moving onto preparatory work for the replacement of the footbridge.
Auger piling on platform 4 & 1 will take place for 2 weeks from Monday 4th August 2025 to Friday 15th August 2025 between 07.00-17.00 each day.

22:00 Saturday 9th August – 09:00 Sunday 10th August (1 x nightshift) – Installation of track monitoring and clearing of material from platforms 2/3
22:00 Monday 11th August – 06:00 Friday 15th August ( 4 x nightshifts ) – Cable management work and installation of mesh panels on platform 2
22:00 Monday 18th August – 06:00 Friday 22nd August ( 4 x nightshifts ) – Cable management work and installation of mesh panels on platform 3
22:00 Saturday 23rd August – 09.00 Sunday 24th August ( 1 x nightshift) – Preparatory work for piling including material deliveries to platforms
22:00 Saturday 30th August – 09:00 Sunday 31st August ( 1 x nightshift ) – Preparatory work for piling including accessing piling rig to platform 2/3
