Harlington Community Speed Watch – Volunteer Team Co-ordinator Needed
There is already in Harlington, a small team of volunteers, trained and ready to make occasional speed advisory checks on traffic around the village, using Police-provided equipment. But the team currently needs a volunteer co-ordinator before it can begin to operate again around Harlington. The co-ordinator liaises with the Police to agree suitable locations, decides dates and times, arranges collection and exchange of the pooled equipment with neighbouring Speed Watch groups, and organises the team members to meet up at the roadside. The co-ordinator must be over 18 and is given police vetting, personal equipment, training and support.
If you can spare just a few hours a month and are interested in taking up the co-ordinator role for the village Community Speed Watch group, to allow it again to assist with road safety around Harlington, please email the Beds Police Watch Scheme Administrator, Juliet Wright – Juliet.Wright@beds.police.uk.
