We plan to carry out essential resurfacing, loops and parapet repairs on the northern side of the M1 overbridge at junction 11a. Once complete, this will ensure the M1 overbridge continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.
We plan to complete this work between Wednesday 30 April and Wednesday 14 May 2025 We will be working weeknights only, weather permitting.
The M1 at junction 11a under the overbridge will be reduced to one lane while the parapet repair works are taking place.There will be a lane closure on the A5 prior to the M1 junction 11a overbridge overnights between 8pm and 6am.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the northern side of the M1 junction 11a overbridge which carries the traffic joining the M1 southbound, and divert traffic as follows:
