At the meeting of Full Council on 14th December an updated safety report was received.
Following discussion it was resolved as follows.
20FC256 A report on the present Covid measure and the opening of the Parish Hall and was received and discussed. RESOLVED to not open the Parish Hall for bookings. To permit St Marys to use the Toilets on a Sunday. St Marys would be permitted to only use the disabled toilet and after St Marys complete all paperwork required by HPC. This resolution will be in force until reviewed at the January Full Council meeting. The Cleaner will use some of her time reallocated to sanitization.
In line with advice from ACRE and after consultation with the Councils insurance company, measures have been put in place to move towards the re-opening of the Parish Hall. This present situation is both good and disappointing news. It is good that St Marys will be able to use the Parish Hall toilets (subject to working within the agreed safety regs), however, opening to the public isn’t yet possible. The recent announcement that Bedfordshire being placed in Tier 3 has added to the challenges to be overcome. Rest assured as soon as the Council can safely open the Parish Hall it will be done.
