M1 junction 14 to 13
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out essential survey works on the M1 between junctions 14 and 13. This will allow us to assess the condition of the road.
We plan to complete this work over 10 nights from Monday 17 April to Friday 28 April. We will work between 10pm and 5am on weeknights only, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 and divert traffic as detailed below:
- Monday 17 April to Friday 21 April – Full closure of the M1 northbound between junctions 13 and 14. Traffic will be diverted via the A421, A4146, A509 to re-join the M1 at junction 14.
- Monday 24 April to Friday 28 April – Full closure the M1 southbound between junctions 14 and 13. Traffic will be diverted via the A509, A4146, A421 to re-join the M1 at junction 13.
