Important roadworks information
M1 southbound exit slip road into Toddington service station – Technology work
I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out technology work on the M1 which will require the closure of the exit from the M1 southbound into Toddington service station. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work overnight on Tuesday 11 November 2025. We’ll be working between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we’ll need to close the exit from the M1 southbound into Toddington Service Station.
There will be no access to the Toddington services southbound during the closure. If staff require access they will need to continue to junction 12, return on the M1 northbound and come off at Toddington services northbound slip. They can then use the service road to gain access to Toddington services southbound.
