Hello Everyone, following our post last week regarding some dogs in the village becoming sick and requiring veterinary treatment we wanted to provide you with an update.
After being contacted by a resident and being aware of posts on social media with concerns regarding these incidents we contacted Central Bedfordshire Council on the 15th of May to see if they were aware of any reports, what level of reporting there was and if there was any information we could pass onto residents. We were informed that we would need to contact the Pollution Team via email. We did so on the same day and also posted the contact details on our e-newsletter so that residents also had the information.
Since then we have now had a response from the Pollution Team saying they would not investigate it in the commercial pollution department and that they believe it is a matter for the Health and Safety Executive.
We have not had any further reports of further incidents but if residents have ongoing concerns please contact the HSE. The link below was provided by the Commercial Pollution Public Protection Team at Central Bedfordshire Council. (to open the link please right click and select ‘go to https:…’)
